The molded plastic products market (profiles, pipes, sheets) – is one of the most rapidly developing in Russia. Federal programs concerning major repair and building volume increase (by 10% annually) facilitate this growth and provide dynamically increasing demand and investment attractiveness of this industrial segment. Obviously today this market is significantly dependant on the import but it is moving fast towards import substitution. Thus, domestic production share in supplies to domestic market demand for molded profiles in 2000 - 2007 increased from 30% to 70% according to stock company NIITEKHIM. Modern technologies and up-to-date materials availability allows domestic molded plastics manufacturers to ramp up facilities, to widen the product range and even to plan some export. It’s interesting that under the strict production standards and with really great output the manufacturers strive to make their products unique for the customer by some product features, configuration or application.
