GN Thermoforming equipment  #12 (94), 2010

Canada-based GN Thermoforming equipment is a major manufacturer of thermoforming machines, molds and packaging machines. The highest machine quality and exceptional customer service allowed GN to supply its equipment to packaging leaders in more than 60 countries. In 2010 the company made another move in expanding its Russian presence by signing cooperation agreement with Solan-D Ltd.
GN Thermoforming Equipment manufactures various high-speed thermoforming machines dealing with projects from the very beginning including product design, material selection, mold making and complete support after equipment installation. The company's success is driven by offering not only equipment but also complete technical solutions producing plastic packaging. GN machines are able to operate with various film types: biaxially oriented polystyrene (BOPS), polyvinylchloride (PVC), high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), polypropylene (PP), polyethyleneterephtalate (PET, D-PET) and others.
GN machines are robust and reliable, maintenance-effective and easy to set-up and operate.
The machine design combines two important forming and cutting steps within single operation and the highest production precision make GN machines perfectly suited for preprinted films. Packaging robots are easily connected to any GN machine establishing fully automated and highly effective thermoforming line by counting and stacking the products at the draw table in a precise way.
The latest GN development is GN760 model featuring piston drawing and forming area of 760x530 mm. The innovative technical solutions applied include inline regeneration system (the dynamic energy produced during braking is transformed into electrical energy which is fed to energy supply system), unique piston drive with twin servo drives and robotized stacking device.
