Nyloncraft adding Engel injection compression machines
Injection molder Nyloncraft Inc. has installed three new injection compression 1,650 ton machines at its Jonesville, Mich., plant as part of a major automotive program.
The three presses from Engel North America are 1,650-ton units working in a manufacturing cell producing both halves of an auto interior part, which are then welded for the finished part, a Nyloncraft executive said in May 25. Nyloncraft is based in Mishawaka, Ind. The cell uses a Motoman Inc. articulating robot and Branson Ultrasonic Corp. welding equipment. Commercial Tool & Die Inc. designed the tool along with Nyloncraft.
