Report points Annual volume of disposed PET bottles in Russia amounts to 600 thousand tons. According to the data from analytical center of Moscow region Administration, presently about 100 thousand tons of PET bottles waste is moved to landfills. A Bottle to Bottle technology for processing PET bottles into PET pellets for food applications is not yet familiar to Russian market. Mastering this unique technology reveals new perspectives for complete PET packaging recovery. The project we are realizing also involves creating state-of-the-art PET waste recycling facility, including PET-bottles recycling to polyethylene terepthalate pellets, or Re-PET (recycled pelletized feedstock), used for PET packaging production. High-technology and highly efficient equipment will ensure finished goods output of up to 50 tons annually when achieving planned production capacity after launching manufacture. The production facility will be launched in the second quarter of 2008.
