Plastivision India-2011 offers an invitation to Russians  #3 (85), 2010

The 8th Plastivision India-2011 demonstrating the latest achievements of one of the most rapidly growing country in the world is scheduled to be held at Mumbai, India from the 20th to 24th January, 2011

The All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association – popularly known as AIPMA, was founded by industry visionaries 64 years ago ,making it the oldest and the largest apex body in the plastic industry in India. AIPMA is dedicated to the development and growth of the plastic industry, contributing to national progress through plastics.
Befitting with its objects, the first ever exhibition of Plastic Products was held between 4th & 6th March, 1948 along with a conference at New Delhi. Since then, Exhibitions of Plastics along with a conference were held almost every year.
However, during 1992, the first “PLASTIVISION INDIA” exhibition was organized in Mumbai, India. Since then, it has become a triennial event, for which Plastic Industry is looking forward. It has gained immense popularity and went on from strength to strength and today it is one of the largest National Plastics Exhibition in India, on the brink of making an indelible mark on the global scene. Since 1992, “PLASTIVISION INDIA” has grown a mammoth 15 times and getting stronger with each exhibition.
With a healthy compounded growth rate of 20% expected in the next five years the demand for plastics is increasing manifold. India ranks 8th in the world with a per capita consumption of 6 kgs. By 2012 India is expected to be the third largest consumer of polymers after US and China. This is the reason enough to give an indication about the phenomenal growth potential waiting to explode for the Indian plastic industry on the national and international scene.
The Government of India has identified exports of plastics products as a thrust area with potential, the Indian entrepreneurs are gearing up to make their presence felt in the international arena with great dynamism and sincerity. Plastivision India is a perfect platform for all small, medium and big players including allied industry to explore new avenues of trade. Exposure on the state of the art technology, support and know how are a few of the highlights of this mega event.
The 8th Plastivision India-2011 is scheduled to be held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India from the 20th to 24th January, 2011.
The projected space bookings are estimated to be around 1500 exhibitors occupying an area of around 25,000 sq. mtrs. The show features overseas exhibitors from China, Taiwan & Hong Kong, Korea who have provisionally booked their space in the international pavilion. The marketing team is working closely with British Plastics Federation, DEMAT GmbH, Frankfurt and exhibitors from Italy are awaiting finalization of procedures with their respective organizations.
