Germany-based Drossbach GmbH & Co. KG participates at K Show regularly serving producers of corrugated plastic pipes around the world with sophisticated solutions and high end machinery.K-2010 showed the effects of the financial crisis obviously come to an end and markets are back in the game.
The company made some relevant strategic deals and had quite a lot of target-aimed meetings. Generally it is clear there is still a huge investment jam in many countries due to the crisis and resuming the fair experiences in our estimation it will last several additional years to compensate that. One of such sectors is waste water infrastructure. However it has a great potential corrugated pipes in the field of application of sewage, rainwater, drainage and cable protection become more and more commodity character. That means expanding capacities for the growing demand on the one hand side and the necessity of holistic appreciation as well as the ability to create customised solutions upgrading clients business on the other. Drossbach's capabilities allow it to execute projects of any level. One of the recent examples is cooperation with customer who wished to introduce a new competitive product into the sewage pipe infrastructure market. The company already owns several production lines of Drossbach for drainage and storm water applications which should be used for waste water pipes. So Drossbach's task was to design a tool based solution to upgrade the existing equipment to fulfill higher requirements. The company's R&D department developed the world?s largest cross die head which could be placed into the line to produce corrugated triple wall pipes up to a diameter of 1,800 mm. Straight before the K-Show the company delivered the fourth unit of this tool to its customer and it is working very well. Beside the giant cross die head Drossbach launched a pioneering concept for higher production capacity and lower cost per piece with bigger machines HD 1200 and HD 1800. It is called “PRESTO Tool Exchange®” (PTX) and allows the reduction of unproductive downtimes for tool exchange to a minimum of 30% measured against average. That means more disposability and profitability for our customers, much higher operational safety and process reliability and a more flexible production nearly on demand. In Russia Drossbach machines are installed at the sites of some very prominent partners and clients producing excellent pipes for the national infrastructure markets. According to the expected demand and the rising requirements in the field of above mentioned pipe applications Russia is one of our prioritised scopes. The company is going to participate at the fair Interplastica in Moscow in January 2011 to adjust market strategy and to discuss with a number of new investors.
