Laser equipment allows to produce high-precision automotive components which is demonstrated by experience of Jenoptik Automatisierungstechnik GmbH, specializing in development and production of laser equipment for automotive materials handling
Laser plants from Jenoptik Automatisierungstechnik allow to handle plastics, metals, glass, ceramics with highest precision, reliability and output. Laser cutting devices of Jenoptik- Votan™ C series performs non-contact laser cutting of 3D plastic or metal parts with no mechanical loads. After laser machining of interior automotive parts such as instrumental panels, door panels, acoustic mats as well as exterior parts such as bumpers no trim processing is required. With Jenoptik- Votan™ W laser welding units it is possible to weld engineering automotive parts of various shapes and sizes such as heaters housings, interior parts, airbag channels, sensors housings, metal body or elements, electrical contacts and lighting. Welded surfaces do not require preliminary or subsequent welding area treatment. In order to ensure airbag expands with guaranteed destruction of instrumental panel material according to predefined path the company offers to apply laser perforation technology. Within a single production stage laser-machining center Jenoptik-Votan™ A Classic weakens the material along perforation line ensuring the destruction occurs at predefined place. Sensor control allows to automatically compensate uneven material distribution. The technology can be applied for driver's airbag, front passenger airbag as well as side and knee airbags. Компания Jenoptik Auto matisierungstechnik GmbH is engaged in development and implementation of industry-specific system solutions for laser treatment. Nowadays the company is one of the leaders in laser welding, cutting and perforation of materials applied in automotive components manufacturing. Company's engineers apply project-based approach – customer gets not just a modern intelligent robotized complex but a finished technological solution for specific operation. Jenoptik experts are always ready to assist its customers – from consulting and preparatory technology development to testing trial models in Application Support Center at company's facilities in Jena, Germany. For this purpose the facility houses 15 various laser machining systems. Furthermore in order to support Russian customers the company installed 3 laser robots in Saint-Petersburg and Kaluga under cooperation with Russian and Germany laser centers.
