"Two-stage" or "one-stage" processing of polymer wastes? The size reduction system lies in the basis of any wastes processing line. And efficiency of its organization influences operating efficiency of the whole line. There are two principal approaches to size reduction.
- One-stage process. In a crushing mill material should be reduced to the size of 3-10 mm. For providing large capacity or recycling large-scale and thick-walled wastes it is necessary to apply a very large crushing mill with a great engine power.
- In case of two-stage size reduction process a shredder is used at the first stage providing preliminary size reduction up to 40 mm. After that it is possible to use less powerful, and thus more compact and inexpensive crushing mills for wastes size reduction up to 3-10 mm.
