WITTMANN BATTENFELD CZ moves into expanded new facility

The WITTMANN Group has moved its Czech subsidiary into an enlarged and purpose-built facility located in Pisek, in the southern part of Bohemia.

As from February 1st, 2011, the new facility will now serve as the Headquarters of WITTMANN BATTENFELD CZ responsible for the territory of the Czech Republic and Slovakia within the WITTMANN Group.
The history of WITTMANN CZ started in April 2003 in Pisek with the foundation of the company through the Managing Director Ing. Michal Slaba. As a technologically advanced market particularly with a focus on the automotive sector, the Czech Republic and Slovakia lend themselves perfectly to the WITTMANN products of automation systems and precise and high-end peripheral equipments. Within only a few years, Ing. Michal Slaba and his team succeeded to establish the WITTMANN brand as a proven and reliable partner in the Czech and Slovakian plastics territories. Nowadays over 200 plastic processors in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are using WITTMANN and WITTMANN BATTENFELD machines or entire production lines.
This extremely fast growth required the construction of a facility to match demand: The ideal land for the construction of a new and customized building was found within a couple of kilometers of the original location and the construction started in the fall of 2008. The new facility now features over 1,100 m? of space for regional sales and service support. Additionally the build-up of a design department is under way for the mechanical and electrical design, construction and startup of grippers, end-of-arm tooling for robots, as well as complete automation cells.
The new WITTMANN Group facility houses an extended training room with over 80 m? which comprises of a minimum of two molding machines, amongst them the all-electric EcoPower 110/350 press with a WITTMANN W813 linear robot, as well as a model HM 180/750 from the hydraulic machine line with a W821 robot. This display is complemented by an overview of TEMPRO temperature controllers, the latest DRYMAX dryer generations, FEEDMAX single and central loaders, as well as screenless and standard SUMO and MAS beside-the-press granulators.
