Trade support helps KraussMaffei sell line to China
KraussMaffei has sold its first ZE75/KE250 Schaumtandex line to a Chinese extruded polystyrene foam producer with help from trade body German Technical Cooperation
The line was designed for the production of thermal insulation boards made of extruded polystyrene foam in different thicknesses using CO2 as the blowing agent. The development will enable the phasing out of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (CFC) and partly halogenated hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) that are still being used as blowing agents in many countries around the world. The line features a ZE75 as primary twin-screw extruder, combined with a KE250 used as secondary single-screw extruder. The ZE75 is rated for an output capacity of up to 1,000 kilograms per hour. Thanks to the excellent mixing performance of the twin-screw extruder, recipes composed of up to eight components can be easily processed, claimed the manufacturer.
