Nowadays many thin-walled technical products with thickness from 0.5 to 2 mm such as undismountable housing for various devices are produced with injection molding. That technology has a range of disadvantages. Firstly, injection molds are significantly more expensive than tooling for mould pressing. Secondly, production changes take much time and require labor-consuming operations.
Specially for such tasks specialists from GEISS AG have developed and launched production of twin sheet molding machine allowing to mold such parts during single cycle. The machine is equipped with pay-out roll automat for two rolls allowing to establish fully automated production and reduce cycle time down to 30 seconds.
