Plastimagen expecting more exhibitors and attendees
E.J. Krause de Mexico, owner of Plastimagen Mexico, has sold three quarters of the floor space for the show’s 17th edition, to be held Oct. 4-7 in Mexico City, it says.
“It’s almost 80 percent full,” Arturo Morales de la Campa, Plastimagen Mexico’s marketing manager, told Plastics News. The show will cover 290,625 square feet at the Centro Banamex exhibition center and feature a conference program as well. The event, one of Latin America’s largest, was to have been held in March 2012. E.J. Krause moved it forward six months after the Washington-based Society of the Plastics Industry Inc, scheduled NPE2012 for April 2012. Plastimagen organizers expect 800 exhibitors from 21 countries, compared with 700 from 21 at the previous show. They are hoping for the number of visitors to increase by 2,000 to 30,000. As usual, they will be from 42 countries, most of them in Latin America. There will also be 12 international pavilions, compared with 11 this year.
